With K-Pop became global phenomenon, local youth's interest in experiencing K-Pop is growing out.

Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (Director Kim Yong Woon) held the annual academy for learning K-Pop "2022 K-Pop Academy". This academy started on June 8, 2022, and will last for 7 weeks in Jakarta. Participants comes from of various ages who have the same interests on K-Pop.


This academy would let the participants grow their skills after receive intensive training. This is also to empower Indonesian youth to increase the interests of K-Pop dance"


Director KCCI, Mr. Kim Yong Woon added, K-Pop Academy is a Korean government program implemented through KCC. This program is part of way to introduce Korean culture, to bridge Korea and Indonesia. "After some time of training, participant will perform on a stage event," said Director Kim Yong Woon in Jakarta during the academy's opening ceremony.


This year, K-Pop Academy held offline within two classes, such as Basic Dance Class and Intermediate Dance Class. It is also the first time when local teachers who have deep experience of dance and K-Pop would handle the classes.


KCCI hopes that K-Pop Academy can bring Kpop and Hallyu experience closer to local youth.
